WELCOME TO THE ENERGY SMART SQUAD
I’m Gaz Energy, your natural gas safety champion! Natural gas helps fuel everyday things at home, like stoves, heaters and hot water. Learn ways to help stay safe and smart around natural gas.
I’m Ellie Power, your electric safety educator! Electricity powers many of the things you use every day, from lights in your home to TVs, computers and phones. Together, we’ll explore safe, smart choices around electricity.
OUR MISSION
At CenterPoint Energy, we believe that education can help keep our communities, families and especially kids safe. Through our Energy Smart Squad, we help kids learn how to stay safe around natural gas and electricity — from spotting potential hazards to knowing when to tell a trusted adult. Small lessons can make a big difference in helping kids practice safety every day.
“Safety is our superpower — it can be yours too!”
~Ellie and Gaz
